Salaries in Spain (PayScale, Glassdoor, and RepVue data, 2026)
The median OTE (On-Target Earnings = base + variable at 100% quota) for a B2B SaaS SDR in Spain is €54,000 annually according to RepVue (March 2026). PayScale reports a median base salary of €39,789 with a median OTE of €60,175. The dominant structure is 70/30 base/variable; enterprise companies use 80/20 and scale-ups with US HQ sometimes apply 60/40.
- €33-42K OTE, Entry (0-1 yr): Base €27-35K + variable €6-11K. Madrid pays €37-46K OTE, Barcelona €36-43K, Valencia/Bilbao €33-39K.
- €41-55K OTE, Mid (1-3 yrs): Base €32-46K + variable €9-18K. Madrid reaches €47-64K OTE. EMEA cross-border profiles earn 15-20% more.
- €53-70K OTE, Senior (3+ yrs): Base €40-56K + variable €13-23K. Top performers in Madrid enterprise SaaS exceed €70K OTE.
- €60-110, Per-meeting commission: Pay per qualified meeting (145-265 meetings/year to reach ~€16K variable). Alternative: 0.5-1.5% of pipeline.
The leap to Account Executive: An SDR in Spain who hits quota for 18-24 consecutive months can move to AE with a +50% to +100% OTE increase. An SDR with €60K OTE can move to junior AE with €90-120K OTE. In Madrid tech with a US-HQ scale-up, the jump reaches €110-160K.
Key fact: an SDR at a scale-up with US HQ earns 25-40% more than the same role at an outsourcing company in Madrid or Barcelona. The type of company matters as much as experience.

The global context: what's happening with SDR teams in 2026
It's not all growth. According to Salesmotion, 36% of B2B software companies reduced their SDR/BDR headcount in the past year, while only 19% grew it. But this doesn't mean less demand for SDRs — it means a model shift: 36% of companies merged SDR and BDR roles into hybrid roles. The trend is fewer SDRs, but more complete and better paid.
- USD 4.7M, Pipeline/SDR: Average pipeline generated per SDR per year. Each SDR supports 2 to 3 AEs (standard ratio: 1 SDR per 2.6 AEs).
- 1.9 years, Tenure: Median time in the SDR role. Globally, annual turnover is 34-40%.
- 36%, Reducing team: B2B software companies that downsized their SDR/BDR team in the past year (Salesmotion, 2026).
- 36%, Hybrid roles: Companies that merged SDR + BDR into a single role. The trend: more complete profiles, with more tools and better pay.
Conclusion: what this means for you
If you're an SDR or want to become one: there are over 3,000 open positions across Argentina, Spain, and remote LATAM. Profiles that master tools (Sales Navigator, Apollo, Clay) and have English earn 25-40% more than those who only prospect via manual LinkedIn. The career has a high ceiling: an SDR who hits quota for 18-24 months jumps to AE with double the compensation.
If you're a company looking for SDRs: the market is competitive. A remote LATAM SDR costs USD 800-1,800/month vs. USD 5,000-8,000 for a local one in the US. Ramp-up with specialized agencies is 2-4 weeks. The alternative to waiting months searching is outsourcing to those who already have the process in place.
