What's new in Sales Navigator in 2026 and how to use it for prospecting

The Sales Navigator 2026 updates that change prospecting: a filter for who viewed your Company Page in the past 90 days, search by describing the buyer, a weekly alert digest and warm introduction badges. What to do with each one, based on the official source.

The Sales Navigator 2026 updates that matter most for prospecting arrived in the September release: a filter to find people who viewed your Company Page in the past 90 days, a search that understands a description of the buyer you want, a weekly digest that rounds up 22 alert types, and new badges that show who can introduce you. All four are available on every plan, Core included. LinkedIn lists them in its official July to September 2026 release notes, which we checked on October 6, 2026.

  • who viewed your page, 90 days: The new filter returns people who visited your Company Page in that period.
  • alert types, 22: Rounded up in the rebuilt weekly digest, including alerts you missed.
  • plans, 3 of 3: The four main updates are on Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus.

Looking for the full stack?: This article covers what is new. To see how Sales Navigator fits with Clay, Phantombuster and a sequencing tool, and what the whole setup costs, read the stack guide.

Sales Navigator + Clay + Phantombuster: the complete stack

1. Who viewed your Company Page in the past 90 days

Lead search now has a "Viewed your Company Page recently" filter. It returns people who visited your Company Page in the past 90 days. Someone who went to see who you are already knows you exist: it is not a confirmed purchase, but it is a good reason to write now rather than six months from now.

What to do: combine it with your title, industry and company size filters, save the search and review it weekly. Do not open with "I saw you visited our page": nobody likes feeling watched. Use the signal to decide who to contact, then talk about their problem, not the visit.

2. Search by describing the buyer

Until now, search returned profiles that contained your exact words. With this release you can describe the person you are looking for and Sales Navigator finds profiles that match the description. And if a search returns no results, it may adjust one filter to show the closest matches, telling you which filter changed.

What to do: write the description the way you would explain it to a colleague, for example "sales director at a 20 to 80 person software consultancy that sells to other companies". Before saving the list, check which filter the tool adjusted: an automatic change can bring in people outside your ideal customer profile.

3. A weekly alert digest you will actually read

The weekly email was rebuilt to round up the alerts you did not see, drawing from 22 alert types, and updates about a single lead are now consolidated. Key signals also reach your regular LinkedIn notifications: a saved lead getting promoted or changing companies, a senior hire at a saved account and new results for a saved search.

What to do: block half an hour every week for that digest and start with role changes. Someone who takes on a new role tends to review vendors and processes in the first months, and it is the easiest window to anticipate.

4. Warm introduction badges

Search results now show badges when there is a path for someone to introduce you. The list of possible connectors is sorted by relationship strength and explains why each one is a good path. When you search within a single account, an account-level badge shows every possible path to its leadership.

What to do: check the badge before sending a cold message. If a mutual connection has a strong relationship, ask for the introduction with a short note they can forward as is. If there is no path, your first message has to earn the reply on its own.

What is not on every plan

  • Cross-company relationship maps (parent and subsidiaries on a single map): Advanced and Advanced Plus.
  • Personalized onboarding with four questions about what you sell and to whom: Advanced and Advanced Plus, only when purchased through an account representative.
  • Sales Navigator alerts inside Microsoft Teams and Lead IQ inside the CRM: Advanced Plus only.
  • Admin controls for notes and calls logging: Advanced Plus only.

Current pricing and what is happening with SSI

The official plans page, updated on September 27, 2026, lists Core from US$119.99 per month (US$1,079.88 per year) and Advanced from US$159.99 per month (US$1,799.88 per year). Advanced Plus is quoted separately. LinkedIn notes these are estimates that may exclude taxes.

About the Social Selling Index (SSI): several industry sites report that since late August 2026, accounts without a Sales Navigator license no longer see their score. As of October 6, 2026 we could not find that confirmed in LinkedIn's official help, so we treat it as a third-party report. What LinkedIn does say on its own page is that a high SSI does not always translate into sales results, and it suggests measuring closed deals per rep instead.

Frequently asked questions

What is new in Sales Navigator in 2026?

In the September 2026 release: a filter for who viewed your Company Page in the past 90 days, search by buyer description, a weekly digest drawing from 22 alert types, warm introduction badges and prioritized lists, key alerts in LinkedIn notifications, cross-company relationship maps and the Microsoft Teams integration.

Is the Company Page viewers filter available on Sales Navigator Core?

Yes. According to LinkedIn's availability table, the filter is on Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus, as are buyer description search, the alert digest and warm introductions.

Can you still see your SSI without Sales Navigator?

Third-party reports say no since late August 2026, but LinkedIn has not confirmed it in its official help as of October 6, 2026. Either way, the numbers that matter for prospecting are how many people reply and how many meetings you book.
